Not wanting to put out the money for the regular roll out awning, does anyone have any photos of how they did it differently? I only have a few inches from the top of the door to the roof molding.

I use a free standing E-Z up dining canopy. Works great for us.
It's 10x10 and pretty light.

Do you have an awning rail above the door? I ordered mine with a rail on both the driver and passenger side.

I came up with this so far:

You can buy 8 foot rails here: http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Awning_Rail_p/vts-876.htm
but you also have to purchase a shipping tube: http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/product_p/vts-777.htm
I have one but have yet to obtain a awning specifically for it. I have put a tarp in it folded over TV antennae cable. Worked for me.

I never thought to order an awning rail with my trailer. Goof-up. Your having one on both sides was a great idea.
