Twin Lakes RV Park, Georgia

I prefer to stay in State Parks and National Forest areas, however on a recent trip to the Atlanta, Georgia area I was not able to find a state park that had camping facilities.

I located Twin Lakes RV Park with a Google search. There were other campgrounds in the area but I choose Twin Lakes because of their online campground map.

I was attracted to the two lakes approximately 13 acres and the catch and release fishing. There are park swings and picnic tables around the lakes.

Twin Lakes is located in Cumming, Georgia, one mile off of GA Hwy 400 (!9) 23 miles North of Atlanta.

I stayed in site 72 for three nights. This is site right on the water and fully shaded.

This is now my go-to campground when I am again in the Atlanta area.

Approximately two miles from the park is a large and beautiful doggie park located at the Fowler community park on Atlanta Highway. My two doggies, Smiley Riley and Tinky Winky gave the park a 5-chew bone rating. There is a vet's office and a doggie day care center close by.

Also in the area just a mile or so away are all the other facilities a traveler needs. There is are Publix and Ingles grocery stores and a lot of restaurants and other stores.

Please note there are no public shower or toilet facilities here. All payments are in cash or check. No credit or debit cards are accepted. There is WiFi throughout the property.
